the making of periwinkle jazz.

Ahh. It all began with finding out I was pregnant with a girl... then they couldn't stop me! Lyla Jazz had so many handmade clothes before she was born than she'd be able to fit into for years! I had so much fun whipping up fun little pieces for her that finally it hit me, "why not make clothes for OTHER babies, too?!" So I was going to begin with custom orders since people were always commenting on Lyla's clothes but then I gave way to opening an Etsy shop and it's definitely been worth it!

I may be starting small, but I'm STARTING and that's what is important to me. I can still be a SAHM while having my creative outlet job (hobby, really!:) on the side - perfection!

periwinkle jazz has been little shop for only a month so far but we've become quite close! I feel like I'm constantly thinking up new creations and lovely little vintage pieces to make. I try to update the shop often but I'm currently working on my first craft show booth so all new items are being saved for that fun venture! I'm really hoping I'll do better there than Etsy because people HAVE to walk past my booth, versus Etsy where they have to be looking for my type of items first... however, I'm setting my goal low - 5 sales! That will cover the cost of my booth plus the material for my pieces. We'll see! September 11th, here I come.
